Premium Chinese Cars Over $50,000
Until recently "premium" meant only the German three. Today Chinese flagships offer a comparable — and often technologically superior — level for noticeably less money. Here's what to buy in Uzbekistan on a premium budget.
The best premium options
- Zeekr 009 (luxury MPV): an answer to the Lexus LM/Alphard — captain's chairs, quiet, electric drive. For business and VIP transport.
- Li Auto L9 (flagship SUV, from $57,400): 6 seats, a range-extender, maximum space and tech, 1000+ km total range.
- Xiaomi SU7 Ultra (from $76,900): supercar performance in a sedan body, the Xiaomi ecosystem, newcomer status.
- BYD flagships (Han and above): a premium sedan with the Blade battery for less than European rivals.
What you get for the money
- Finish and tech at (or above) German-premium level.
- Electric or hybrid drive — quiet, performance and a low per-kilometre cost.
- Advanced assistance and an ecosystem.
Premium clearance
For EVs and plug-in hybrids duty is 0%, but at $50,000+ the 12% VAT becomes the main line (several thousand dollars). Petrol premium cars add duty on top. The exact figure for a specific model is in the calculator; how it's counted is in the customs guide.
Verdict
The premium segment is where the Chinese beat the Germans on price-for-equipment most clearly. For VIP transport, the Zeekr 009; for a family, the Li L9; for emotion, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. Models and prices in the catalog.
